KIDS ALOUD: a 2-Part Event Celebrating National Children’s Week!
20 October 10am-12pm: Part 1
A FREE Creative Workshop exploring the theme of the 2018 National Children’s Week: Article 12 of the UN Convention on the rights of the child:
“Children’s views and opinions are respected. They have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child and the right to be heard.”
Children will learn more about their rights and through a series of activities create a piece of artwork, writing, or performance to be presented at our second event:
27 October 10am-12pm: Part 2
A Children’s Open Mic event. All are welcome to attend, even if you do not have a child presenting at the Open Mic or participating in the Workshop.
Exact locations for both events will be announced soon, but expect them to be in Sydney’s Inner West.
PLEASE NOTE FOR WORKSHOP ATTENDEES:
- The workshop will be geared primarily towards primary school-aged children, however we welcome kids of any age to attend
